About ›
I build and secure the systems companies run on. Nine years at Deloitte moving Fortune 100 enterprises off mainframes. Three months to move Magic Leap's entire corporate stack to AWS, pioneering SAP's new infrastructure as code capabilities. From there I built the DevOps and Innovation practice for AWS's global SAP business from the ground up. Founding engineer at Thoughtful AI, where I stood up engineering, IT, and security from zero and scaled the platform all the way to exit. The exit moved me into the CISO seat at Smarter Technologies, owning IT, security, and compliance for the entire company through the merger of SmarterDx, Access Healthcare, and Thoughtful AI.

Chief Information Security Officer Smarter Technologies
Jun 2025 – Present
Sole executive accountable for security and enterprise risk across the Smarter Technologies portfolio and primary advisor to the board on cybersecurity, compliance, and resilience. Set security, IT, GRC, and compliance strategy across SmarterDx and the portfolio, ran SOC 2 Type II and HIPAA audit programs end to end, led technology and security integration across M&A, and set security strategy for AI-native healthcare workloads handling PHI at enterprise scale.
Founding Engineer Thoughtful AI
Mar 2020 – Jun 2025
Built engineering, IT, and information security from zero at an AI-native healthcare automation startup, then scaled them over five years into the platform powering autonomous AI agents inside enterprise revenue-cycle environments. Designed the core architecture for identity, infrastructure, data handling, and agent operations, and took the security program from its first SOC 2 and HIPAA readiness cycles to end-to-end SOC 2 Type II ownership. Ran enterprise trust operations, briefed the board, CEO, and VC security advisors on risk and technology strategy, and hired the engineering, IT, and security leadership bench.
Senior Cloud Architect › Senior Innovation Architect › DevOps & Innovation Practice Manager
Jan 2019 – Aug 2021
Two and a half years inside AWS Professional Services, working with the Fortune 500 companies moving their most critical SAP workloads to the cloud. I started as an architect on customer engagements and ended up running the DevOps and Innovation practice for the global SAP business: building the reference patterns for CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and serverless data pipelines that delivery teams used in the field, and setting the capability standards new consultants trained against.
Senior Manager Magic Leap
Dec 2016 – Dec 2018
Solution architect and technology lead for the enterprise platform behind one of consumer technology's most ambitious hardware launches. Migrated the entire enterprise landscape from on-prem to AWS in three months, built a fully serverless data pipeline, warehouse, and real-time analytics layer, and architected security role design and compliance readiness.
Manager Deloitte
Feb 2008 – Dec 2016
Enterprise transformations for Fortune 100 clients across aerospace and defense, food distribution, retail, and high-tech: integration strategies bridging legacy mainframe with modern platforms, hybrid on-prem and cloud architectures, and technical strategy for global ERP programs spanning finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and analytics.
BI&T Intern Devon Energy

Supported SCADA infrastructure across field operations and corporate networks, and built a water-detection method that improved data center reliability.
